I would go with rims. Still not convinced about the TC upgrade with the attendant possible Tranny failure.

Need to drive someones GS that has the TC mod before I can be convinced. In my neck of the woods that is next to impossible - which means it's very unlikey that I would do the TC upgrade.

I agree, seeing cars with big a$$ rims and a big @ss gap makes the car look funny, and I always get a good laugh when I see that... And on top of thaqt they think they're ballers with they're car sitting like that.. C'mon now you have the sense to upgrade your rims why not do the suspension too... Some people these days??????

Actually I guess, I'm one of those "some people these days" because I have 20's and not lowered. but with the Win Kit and my careless driving, I would probably tear the kit right off in a month. and my wheel gap is only two fingers, but TC is next on the list.

2 fingers isn't bad... It's when you can fit your entire head in the gap...

Smile Decisions, decisions

After reading and reading here on CL my decision was made based on input from other GS owners, and my desires/wants.

Performance (engine upgrade/suspension) was not necessarily my primary focus, as my level of comfort with the GS's power/handling seemed sufficent enough (how fast is fast enough?). So I bought the exhaust (RMM) then thought about intake (not sold yet) then found a great buy on wheels and tires.

Nothing for these model cars in inexpensive. We all have a threshold, but my feeling is, your decision should be based on your individual desires. If money is not an issue, then the sky is the limit.

With 19's I'd love to lower with coilovers, but the practical side of me says that if I do, it may not offer ME the best overall long term VALUE for my dollar.

Man I love this forum...
