Default Weird sound, like running water or splashing around behind dash/engine compartment?

Im still pretty new to these forums so please forgive me if this is an old subject... I have a 2001 lexus GS300 and it has been running perfectly until today. I turned it on and started hearing this weird sound coming from what seemed like to me, behind the dashboard. It sound like running water or splashing. I read a thread about heater cores leaking into the cabin floors so i checked floors and behind stereo, behind the glove compartment and all is dry. I checked coolant level and it is kind of low and i noticed some coolant leaked onto the splash guard. Could it be a water pump causing this? If anyone has gone through this or if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks.

Top off the low coolant. With the engine COLD start the engine and fill the coolant with the engine running. Let it run for a while and top off the coolant as needed. I've also heard some turning the heater on full blast while doing this. Not to say this is for sure your issue but when the coolant is low air bubbles will get trapped in the system and make noises when going through the heater core.

So i looked it up, is sounds like it could be related but would the servo cause a coolant leak?

Wouldn't cause a coolant leak. It is another possibility off adding coolant doesn't work

Update**: So i filled up the coolant with the car running and finally found the problem! So my water pump is leaking between where the pump and the housing meet and from where the thermostat outlet and the waterpumps housing meet! So now my biggest issue is finding somewhere that sells the water pump with the housing... I checked autozone and oreillys and neither have the housing only the front pump. I suppose ill have to check napa auto parts or the dealership unless anyone has any recommendations or unless i dont need to replace the housing??

As far as the weird noise behind the dash goes i suppose it might have been the system burping air since it was very low on coolant. It also turns out the leak on my passanger floor was caused by a plastic drain tube ( or whatever its called) that had a crack in it leaking in rain water.
Very relieved my car will be back on the road as soon as i find the water pump. Thank you all for your input and advice!

Ya i already noticed i how much has to be removed just to get that pump out, so ill just get all that done while im in there. Is Aisin a good brand for the water pump??

So i replaced my water pump and no more leak but i think i did something wrong because now my radiator keeps leaking out all my coolant! Its leaking from a drain hose that sticks out of the bottom the only thing i removed close to that was the plastic drain plug and i put that back in its place so i dont know why that hose is still leaking... Any suggestions?
