Default Black Badge??

yesterday on the 405 around santa monica, i saw a silver gs430 with the black badging, instead of the silver or the gold

i also have seen a few LS430 lately, with this dark colored badging, and some toyota camry's as of late have them too

my questions, since this is obviously a toyota/lexus OEM mod

1)how much youthink they run?

2)will they look good on my pearl white lexus? (i currently have gold badges)

they look killer on silver cars, not sure if it will be too dark on my pearl white car....hmmm

thanks for your help

pics would help

Wink hello

They are called Black Pearl emblems. They appear as Black Platinium (Electroplated gun metal) In certain lighting they appear black other grey mtetal blk chrome. You can get these at the dealer but, they charge way too much. Hit up Steve Ganz at Carson Toyota.
gonzo4u@earthlink.net It will look great on light or white color car!!!

You bet, the black pearl emblems will look a lot better than your gold badges...sorry, I'm just not a fan of gold badging.

Just get black touch up paint and paint the emblems....=). Mines are painted black and look clean.

The best looking emblems (IMO) was the "satin" or "brush" LS400 emblems that came out a while back on a Special Edition model...looked NICE AS HELL...

As for black chrome, you can get any chromed emblem converted to black chrome...look for emblem chroming places...also, you can have a body shop use some black pearl paint on 'em too (and clearcoat 'em)....

Gold emblems on any color is ugly. Black Chrome looks good on White and Silver cars...I think it's too much "black" on black cars thought (and most other dark colors)....but that's just me.

I used to think that too until I took delivery of my gold GS4, it has gold emblems on it which I was going to remove right away. After looking at it some more and then seeing the twin of my car with chrome emblems, IMO the gold looks much better. I thought about Black Pearl, but not sure on how it would look on gold.

I know, I know, I need to get a different licence plate frame!

i always see silver cars with black pearl and was thus very intrigued
