Thumbs up Ryan

Dude. Do as Manaray said & just send em to a Tuning shop & get em Gun Metal or Black Chrome Electroplated. The shop near me told me that they can do it for like $40 bucks. I took my ARISTO emblem to the shop & he said no Problem. I'v e seen the shop do the same for many Riced & Tricked out rides & the work is great. Very OEM. my 2 cents

Wink pretty much the same

I wouldn't sweat it too much. Blk. chrome & Gun Metal are very close in color. They have been used many times over for domestic cars too. Just tell them to make it dark colored. Good luck..

Ryan, I HATE the gold as well. The letters on my 96 GS were fading like HELL! The mistake I made was taking them off before I got my game plan together. Because I did not plan everything, I just ended up ordering the letters in chrome, 2 "L"s, "Lexus", and "GS300" set me back 150. What I should have done was just have a shop paint my factory gold letters the black chrome color. I have been riding around with black tape on my car for 2wks now!! The badges are coming tomorrow!

ryanSC300lover,

Yeah the toyota touch up paint will work well. My emblems were painted with Black honda civic paint. hehe.

I would really like to have my lexus and (L) painted silver. That means I will have to take off my aristo because there would be too many badges on my rear. lol. Heres a pic below of my trunk. Let me know what you guys think if I just painted the Lexus, (L), and aristo silver...

see you have a black car, so i think it looks nice

on my white car, i am not sure if i use touch up paint it will come out ok...(it wont have a clear coat, right?)

on my car it will be noticeable

did you take off the emblems and then painted them?

i am wondering if i DO take it to a body shop, should itake the emblems off and then go to them, or have them take it off, do it, and put it back on

Ryan, I wish I would have asked around before I ripped those badges off, because now i have to pay 150 for chrome, I think I could have gotten them all painted for MUCH less. The only thing about my car is, it has a chrome/black grill, so I am not sure how a black/grahpite "L" would look on it. the same may hold true for the front of your SC.

BTW, I have seen alot of new GSs/Land Cruisers in ALL colors and it looks nice!! I think it is more understated than chrome, or worse yet GOLD!!! You should probabably have yours painted a very DRK GRAY rather than black, it probably would not stand out as much.

I know you dont have a grill, but I believe you DO have a "L" emblem on the front of your vehicle. I did not know if you wanted all your badges to match, i.e. graphite rear badges, and a silver or gold front badge may look funny!

Default Black on White

Ryan-

Mine were on the car when I bought it (CPO 98' GS 400). I am very happy with black vs. gold or silver. My sig (done by futureregs) shows GS4 badge FYI.

Doug

PS Good luck
