IS this normal?
Hi:
I just got a 2000 GS400 a few weeks ago. Bought it from eBay so I don't know much about the car, although Lexus service history is OK.
I did find out that it has a l-tuned exhaust, at least that's what one of the experienced members of this forum said after looking at some pictures of the car.
What I'm wondering is whether this car has any other mods. It is hot. I can spin the tires easily, just by punching the throttle. With vsc in normal position, it quickly ratchets down the power, but with it off, it goes wild.
I mean, I can just twitch the throttle a bit and out goes the rear end.
I've got the 17 inch tires, too.
Now I've been driving sports cars for years, and my other car is a twin turbo 320 hp Mitsubishi 3000gt spyder (www.3000gtspyder.com) so I am used to a lot of power.
It's just that after reading some posts here about people actually spending some effort to spin out, it seems so easy to me.
Do you think I might have other mods?
How would I tell if I have a TC? What else should I look for?
Thanks for the help,
Jeff Mulligan
