Default CF license garnish

I just received this from Steve Gonzo Ganz. It is a genuine toyota part. It fits perfectly.

I am also awaiting receipt of another new peice, I will post pics of that as soon as it comes in. It should arrive here in a week. I am sure some of you will wanna purchase one after you see it.

(still x-mas for the GS)

pardon the trunk isn't completely closed so the middle section of the tail looks raised. but I am sure you get the idea

HI98GS, I got the same thing on my Pearl White GS last week, this is weird. I love it, and it makes the rear white look more aggresive, IMO.

carfanatic: I have been looking at this peice a lot and decided that I will get either a real CF overlay, or maybe even do a mold and make a true CF peice. I am not too sure which route I will go. But I do want the peice to match the real CF pillar garnishes. If some people are interested, I would more likely lean to a mold and make a few more peices. What do you guys think?

HI98GS, Do you have the Toyota Part Number for the CF Garnish? I am looking for the same part. The person I talked to at the dealer said they don't sell it. I don't believe him.

Looks great HI98GS! How did you install it? I heard it requires drilling into the trunk lid. I planned to purchase the CF garnish months ago,but I had to think twice, due to installation reasons.
I was first told that it installs with double sided tape, but I had to cancel my order when I learned it required drilling.

blackRainGS: no drilling, just double stick tape.

Pure: I will get you the part number. If you want, Steve Ganz (SupraTRD)still has a few in stock.

very nicely done indeed. carbon fiber matches white extremely well in my opinion. congrats on your newest accessory

btw...are you considering on getting a mold done of your pillars between the front and the back doors? if you are, where are you getting it done and are they on the island? i've been looking for someone to do some custom work (ie: fabricate pieces like the CF door pillars and also a UGO style roof spoiler for my 1st gen.), but i haven't found anyone as of yet...

hey HI98GS,

Do you have any pics with a license plate on the car. I'm wondering how it would look? I'm wondering if having the plate there would make the piece look funny...

thanks,
jawnthen
