i think that's a pretty decent price already, very new car but with quite a few miles, and no nav, so the price is good for a CPO. like what gs4will said, bargain a bit and that should do it.
Thanks Guys.....Would it be a wise decision to grab it without CPO??? Or do you feel that the CPO warranty
is something that is needed??? By the way the service history is immaculate has yet to miss a service...
That's the least I can say for me since I' m a do-it yourself-er...experienced ASE certified do-it yourself-er I should say....

Here's a different take:
If you're going to keep the car for a very long time, buy it as CPO but still negotiate the price.
If you're not going to keep the car more than 2 years, buy it w/o CPO but negotiate the price even lower. Why buy it w/o CPO? Because the car still has the original factory warranty of 4 yr/50,000 miles from first in service date and 6 yr/70k miles on the powertrain.
Check out www.edmunds.com and www.kbb.com for prices as a basis for your negotiations.
If you buy the vehicle as a CPO and decide to sell later, the CPO warranty does not transfer to the next owner.
Discriminate against you for maintenance gaps? I'm not sure what you mean by discriminate? If you maintain your vehicles according to factory specs and have documented them all, that's all that the manufacturer requires, the dealer then can't deny warranty services if you have issues with the car. I don't recall seeing anywhere in the Owner's Manual or Warranty Manual that requires you to have the basic maintenance items performed by an authorized Lexus dealer.

If there is still 1-2 years warrenty left and this vehicle has gone through the 128 point certification checklist then get it without CPO warranty.
Hey Guys Thanks for the valuable info....I guess I'm going to have to flip a coin for this one on one hand I
want the pre-owned warranty for a piece of mind and then on the other if I don't get it I'll be saying everytime I drive it "I hope nothing goes wrong with this car unexpectedly" ....It's definetely in superb
condition.
I guess I'll pay the $845 and have my mind relaxed when I'm behind the wheel...
Plus according to romini and kvoman they really won't hassle me about service gaps just as
long as I keep documentation is that correct???
Look out for my "Welcome me to the club" thread after I get this baby

Isn't there a member here that is a dealer or works for a dealership that stated that alot of them will think twice though about fixing something just out of warranty that would have been fixed under their good faith policy, if they didn't have their vehicle serviced by Lexus ? And that they take this into consideration when trading in ?
You can always negotiate the CPO purchase price even lower if there are other Lexus dealers in your area. There's always another GS out there for you but there is only one of you as a customer for that Lexus dealer.
If you can prove (by documentation) that you have done all the maintenance called for in the owner's manual then they cannot deny warranty services. If they deny warranty services, they must demonstrate/prove to you that the maintenance services that you performed is DIRECTLY related to the failure of the warranty item. Otherwise, they will be in a very very bad situation in a court of law. For example, if you changed the engine oil and oil filter and some how the oil plug came off and you continue to drive the car, oblivious of all the warning lights, and then the engine seized - in this case, then yes, they can deny your warranty service. But if your transmission goes bad and they say because you changed your own engine oil and oil filter, that's the reason for the transmission goes bad, then they would be wrong and would lose in a claim/suit. I hope your local dealer is not like that.
