Default need help with grille

Alright fellas.... I need some help. I have a junction produce grille and my original frame for it was cracked. So I tossed it. I've seen it in the forum somewhere a while back, some of you guys were using the OEM grille frame with the JP grille. I've been searching all damn day and can't seem to find the diy for it, or a post where someone showed how they made this work. I thought it was sakataj that had done this a few times, but I can't seem to find his thread or post on it. If you guys know which post it is or know where to find it, please lmk. Thanks in advance y'all

Damn I know I should have kept it. I just talked to Daniel today...... He said the same thing. Looks like I'm gonna start cutting up my stock grille this weekend.

Wussup gill.... This is the JP grille I got from you. I threw away the old frame. Im going to use my stock 04 grille. I talked to daniel. Daniel called Brian and asked if a 04 would work. He said yes, it will. But it may just take a little longer because the upright slats are thicker

I will definitely make a DIY out of this... That's the least I could do for the forums that has helped me out so much over the past couple years. I think I need to post progress pics of the GS too. I think the last time I posted any pic of the GS was about a year ago too. Maybe do a build thread or something.

OK.... So I'm done and I got the JP grille installed. But it is far from making a DIY thread. It split it 2 different places on the top. Which I needed to use jb weld. I left the stock grille attached to the hood so it would stay sturdy while I cut and I have 2 hands available to work with. I do not recommend that (that's how the grille split). I recommend taking it off to work with while cutting. It needs the flexibility. With it attached, there is no flexibility in the plastic making it easier to crack. I thought Daniel and Brian was joking when they said it took about 20-25 hours due to sanding. I spent close to 20 hours, and I'm still not satisfied. It will work for now, but I will give it another shot. I learned from my mistakes. Hopefully I can make a descent DIY out of the next one.
