Default Heated seats

I don't think my seats heat up anymore. Does anyone else have a problem with this too? Do you know how much it costs to get it fixed and what the possible problem may be?

Have you checked your fuses?
What condition is your leather seats in... as they get old and hard.. it is harder for the heat to come thru.

Well, I have a '99 model. I'd like to think that it is in pretty good contition still, but I hardly ever condition them. But they don't look or feel hard IMO.

How would I go about checking the fuses?

I think it has passed its warranty. Currently, I have less than 50k miles on my car, but it is over 4 yrs old. I bought in November of '98.

Joolee, they MAY still treat this as a warranty problem since you are pretty close to EOW and have low mileage, but it's the service mgr's discretion. Over the years, my dealer has been nice enough to do a number of things outside of the normal warranty period, so I know it's possible.

But do check your fuses first thing.

I think the heater element that bluid into the leather is burn out after a while. Talk to Lexus dealer and may be the goodwill it for you, but depending on the relationship with you and the dealer too.
