ok fellas i have my 99 gs300 in the famous spectra blue ( god i love this color) and have done the 2jzgte vvti swap done by kevin at K&E performance here in fl. Car is running great but im am looking for a little more control of the shifting but as we all know the 99 didnt come with the E-shift. I have researched and found many different optins like supra shift which I tried to contact and never got a reply back so that was a dead end, also just recently contacted ocdworks but they gave me a ridiculous price of 15k which includes the 4L80 trans, trans controller, torque conv, paddle shifter w/ gear display all installed w/ 1 yr warranty just a tad bit to high for my taste. I have an aristo steering wheel with the shift buttons and the swap already has those capabilities so is it possible to get it to work and if so how or is there a paddle shift kit that can be used with the factory transmission. Either way i want the ability to control the speed of up shifts and down shifts so that its more exact.

Just a guess but I would say comp has to be changed no?

 

If you have the steering wheel and are running a GTE vvti ecu you should be able to wire it in, you probably wont be able to adjust the speed of shifting, but you should be able to get the e-shift to work atleast.

 

@aks14 thanks for replying to my post. I kind of figured that I should be able to get the eshift to work. Might you have any idea of what wires I need to tap into or do I need ti run all new wires all together

 

It has been done before. Look up member PMP 300 (Reece Jones on FB). He did the conversion using IS250 paddles and wired it up directly to the ecu without changing the steering wheel.

No problem, as puff said reece had done this with paddles. If i remember correctly he used IS250/350 paddles and had to fab some sort of bracket as well at trim up the back of the wheel for the brackets. Good luck, post some progress pics and such if you decide to go through with it.
