I really wanted to buy a white GS400 but i didnt want one with beige interior so when i called up the lexus dealership they said that beige was the only color interior they made for the GS in 98 and 99......is this true?? Neways now im resorting to a black GS with black leather...or maybe a spectra blue with black leather if i can find it...i still think white is the best color tho.

1sicklex has a white 98 GS400 with black interior. Your dealer is wrong, but they ARE fairly rare.

 

That was also the case in 01; I'd have ordered mine in white had I been able to get charcoal or black interior, as I had on my WHITE SC300 5spd!!

 

I have a 99 gs4 white with Grey Interior.

 

it's hard to find but they have it, pretty much you had to order it coz' they just didn't really make any

and also, spectra blue with black interior is even harder to find

 

i waited a month for a black exterior with Nav and anything but beige, and here i am with beige, realizing i was chasing a near-dream. black interior is sleek, but no longer for me. it always seems to look dirty, especially when leather cracks, and its dusty.

after a while, beige really isn't bad, but grey is my ambition

 

DaveGS4 is correct. The ES is white with black leather as well. One of the main reasons (honestly, the #1 reason) I bought the GS was I had never seen one with the same combo. 95% of any White Lexi have beige interiors. The other 4% is with gray interiors.

They only made it in 98 and 99 and dropped it in 00 and forget about it 01 and up. Possibly, you have to order it from the factory to get it donw white/black interior.

Here is a pic showing the edge of the black dash and you will see my white hood.

 

thats funny guys. I wanted one with a gray interior but all i was able to find was a black interor. maybe its different here in california

 

I bought the lesser of two GS because the one with more miles had the black interior. I think it's worth waiting and looking around.
