problems with the heater unit
hi. i have 2001 gs430 and now the heater unit is directing the air to vent only and not to defrost and floor. its not making sounds.i dont know what is the issue?

Welcome to CL as a new poster. 
So the warm air does not go to the defrost or floor vents even when you set the proper controls/buttons/levers for it to do so? The are several possible causes, but the most likely one is probably a bad regulator that directs which vent-door/passageway to open or shut when the controls are moved. In modern cars, that is usually done electrically, especially in cars with automatic climate-control.
