Satisfaction Rate ..
5-she is too damn boring to drive. I bought my GS300 brand new, she has been reliable but boring. She has 77K, but for the past 2 years I have been dealing with a nagging vibration, rattles, and the suspension feels like it is about to give at any moment. Now the service has been outstanding, but it is not enough for me to buy another GS.
thats the first i ever had any thing bad on a rx 300 maybe time to get a rx 330 and how old is the rx300 that left you stranded and by the way i love my gs430 i would def!!!buy a new gs or new 07 ls over the 740 which has major issues and i cant tell you ho many bmw ive have seen being flat beded to the dealer!!!!on my side of town or how about the looking at the prices of used x5's isssshhhhh not good autotrader.com l.o.l

Not sure about your X5 prices either - I believe it has the highest residuals out there of any sports ute.
I have to be honest - if it was a GM vehicle with this many problems I wouldn't be surprised, but as many problems as my GS400 had within relatively low mileage... and based on Lexus' reputation, I'm pretty disappointed.
It wouldn't be as bad if it didn't cost so damn much to fix everything.

10 based on 8+ yrs of total ownership experience.
I am not comparing against other vehicles or leaving margin for improvement. Just rating it based on my expectations at the time of purchase.

Well I give it a ten because I just love the car , it is the first that I have ever bought twice I had a 94 gs and now I have a 03 gs, and I have had plenty of cars before and I only bought them once and despite of the flaws they are still ground breaking cars as far as design ,options, and resale value and whether your car is modded or bone stock it has plenty of street cred and people will always respect a L badge before a cheap Caddie or a lame Chrysler .So my next car will be another gs 06-up
But maybe that's because I'm a guy coming from more typical american cars such as Mark VII's , Caddy's etc. , and this is the first real "high end" car I've owned and it's easy to be impressed at this level. However, I have driven a few Mercedes ('98 E320 ) and BMW's (not the 540's though) and Seville STS's of the same vintage and the GS really is a better car in every respect that is important to me. We all can't agree on subjective stuff anyway, that's just life.
If I drove the 540i or the new CLK's or V8 Audi's I might be able to make a fairer comparison and lower my vote by a tad, but for now, the "10" stands.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. After coming from two previously owned american cars(mustangs) this is the first high end car that i have enjoyed modding and driving.. I hope I'm fortunate enough down the road to own more lexus cars..
I have to give the car a 9 because there's no car that is perfect..

I had three "American" cars prior to the GS and I'm happy with her so far although it's been less than a year of ownership. I think it's still a little too early to rate her but she doing good though and working up the ranks.
i give mines a 8 -=T if it was a 6speed manual then i would get a 11~!!!! and only if this motor will blow then i could move up to a 2jz-gte 6speed manual hahAHa but to bad toyotas build to tough motors -=T i doubt that motor would ever blow
9 (voted 8, but should voted 9) - since I got it and now I have to replace two upper ball joints with control arms. wher one at the dealer is $386 + tax and I ned two
Edit: but other than that everything is just amazing !!!
