Default Very sluggish but no codes please help

my car feels very sluggish like i have to mash the peddle to get it to go. so i pulled the ground from the batt for awhile and when i hooked it back up and drove it it ran good but when i shut the car off and drove it again it was back to the same as it was before. there are no codes so i dont know where to start.

went to get my brakes done at a friend shop and saw another gs sitting there. i asked him what was wrong with it and he said there was a leak which caused the car to be sluggish. so i turned the car on and it doesn't sound normal. mashed on the gas pedal and it took a bit for the rpm to build up. kinda like it was dying. he said it was an oil leak. don't shoot the messenger. alternator? i'd go to autozone and get all the free check ups lol hope that helps.

MAF sensor...I had the same problem where you would have to stand on the gas pedal just to get the car to respond...searched here and came up with a dirty MAF sensor. Some people try and clean them with a CRC cleaning product, but I just spent the money and replaced it. The car runs great now and responds the way it supposed to. Hope this helps...

Def try cleaning the MAF sensor. I just had the same problem but mine ended up being the cat gone bad. Is exhaust flowing nice out of the tailpipes??

I've had to leave neg cable off for over an hour before. Sometimes 15 mins doesn't do the trick. Learned this with an SRT intake install...
