Default Please help!!!!

Hi CL members,

I recently got a new motor put into my gs300. Everything engine wise seems to be fine, but the problem that I am having is that, when the car reaches 2500 rpm it begins to bog down. it feels like it wants to cut off. The only major code its pulling is p0115. Can a engine coolant temperature sensor cause the car to bog down? Ive searched but havent quite found an explanation specific enough. Thanks guys. Any help would be appreciated

I might be wrong but I believe a bad sensor can cause issues because the computer reads that the car is over heating and will pull timing, thus causing the car to run poorly or sluggish

If you're not overheating or loosing coolant anywhere, check the temperature sensor for proper function.

Try taking off the negative battery terminal for around 30 seconds to clear the code and clear any learned data and then see if the problem and code comes back.

If the ECT code comes back and if your good with a multimeter then, on the ECT sensor just make sure you have around 3.5V-4.5V on the sensor signal wire when cold. And around 0.5V - 1V when warmed up.

Theres two wires on the ECT sensor. One is the signal wire which varies from 0.5V-4.5V and the other wire is a ground/0V.
