Default Water pump help.

[/QUOTE]

So today I noticed that my GS400 was leaking coolant and a pretty decent pace. I took the engine cover off to try to diagnose where the leak was coming from. I'm lost with this Lexus engine. I've been searching all day. The large rectangle opening in the center of the pump...is that the thermostat housing? I can see the coolant leaking down the small hose that runs under the right side (in pic-left side on car) upper radiator hose. I can't see any further in or clearly where else this could be coming from. All surrounding areas are dry. Is this a common place for the water pump to start leaking? There is no other signs of water pump failure, ie noises. The car has had Lexus timing belt service about 80,000 miles ago. Their is 150k on the car now. However my service records DO NOT state the water pump was changed. I understand im approaching my 2nd 90,000 service. Any help is well appreciated.
