Default Leaky water pump but coolant tank still full?

I have owned my F about 3 months now and have been reading threads as much as I have time and recently read the leaky water pump thread and went to take a look at my water pump. And boom, alot of pink dry crust all around water pump. Prob been leaking a while. Car currently has 127k miles but I've only driven about 2k miles on it. So I assume leaky pump but the coolant level is still at the full level and has not dropped. So is it ok to keep driving and not worry about it since coolant seems to not be leaking anymore due to fact coolant levels stay full or should I get it changed immediately?

I also got the car checked out before purchase along with the fuel recall done because you can't register the car with the recall done and dealer did not mention leaky pump and said car was in good shape but they also broke the harness cover and didn't mention it either so more reasons to hate the dealership more.

It could be that the water pump's "weep hole" did its function in terms of indicating there is a leak but the coolant dried up to "temporary" block the leakage.

The weep hole is there to tell you the seal is failing and it is high time to change the pump now before it fails catastrophically.

Thx for reply. I am planning on getting it changed out but dealership is 2 weeks out for service with loaner car. I drive 15mins to work, parked all day and drive home. Temp gauge never passes halfway mark. And could you elaborate more on "catastrophic fail". Doesnt the water pump just move coolant? So if it stops working, the temp gauge would let me know before car over heats or anything bad happens? Any info would be appreciated. Thx.
