Question Cel

So this morning driving to school i had the CEL come on (no vsc lights). After class i got the codes scanned and they came up P0440 PO441 P0446 and P0161. Now i realize that the first 3 have to do with the emissions, but the last one is for an O2 sensor. Now i unplugged the battery and cleaned the gas cap, and will see if the light comes back on but are the emission codes related with the o2 sensor code? Or did both go bad at once. The car only has 65k miles, its a 2002. I'm hoping it was just the cap since i filled the tank up yesterday but based on other threads here i may be looking at a charcoal canister. Anyone have any input of this? Looking on here no one has had all these 4 codes at once.

Having all four codes at once does not mean much. Might be related, might not be. Whatever DTC's come back on will need to be diagnosed and repaired. Search the P0161 separately from the others for ideas on correcting it.

I drove 60 miles today and nothing has come back on, so maybe the gas cap was just loose? Wel will see

It came back on after 1000 miles. I am replacing the gas cap (have little hope for this) so I'm hoping it stays off, but I am assuming that it is the charcoal canister .

did you ever check the o2 sensors? id check them after you replace the gas cap. and the gas cap get the oem ones dont settle for the aftermarket ones.

I am picking up an OEM gas cap from the dealer for 20 bucks. Could the 02 sensor cause the other onces to go off as well?
