man, this project is taking wayyyy to long for me to complete, between full time job, 2 young kids and basketball leagues at night, I'm crunched for time, I'm at the eff it mood now and i just wanna get it done regardless how it looks.....FOR NOW....i can always do it again since i know what to do now. i don't wanna start over for the amount of work i've done.
test fit to see if the vents and ashtray would would and after lots of grinding now it does
this is the iPad removed to see the controls in the back
the iPad will just be held by velcro all around for easy access to the controls and I'm just gonna run a detachable wire on the other side. I'm just gonna sand some more then primer then black paint.
i just want it doneeeeeeeeeeee. i can always redo a version later on

I guess next time you can get the Pioneer Appradio 2(record low price of 279.00 at best buy) and hide away for itouch or ipad somewhere in the car. I was going this route but there's no extra A/V or AUX source in the headunit for my headrest monitors but you can use an rooted android phone and stock iphone/itouch at the same time.

Just wondering why are you fiberglassing it in? The only purpose of that is if you were doing a permanent install. Since you are still keeping the stock headunit, I would probably recommend you doing a swiveling mount. Kinda like a cell phone holder thing. Either way, keep us updated on the progress! I'm debating if I'm going to do a Nexus7 into my dash still. I bought it 3 months ago and still haven't gotten around to putting it in lol.
