OEM or Moog Lower Ball Joints
So they don't come pre-greased? What type of grease do you use?
^ no, not sure why they don't. Some people want to use there own specific grease i suppose. but i just borrowed my neighbors grease gun. Any good quality automotive grease at the local auto store should do.
When compared side by side, the MOOG look beefier than stock. Also, MOOG comes with grease fittings unlilke OEM. MOOG all the way when it comes to balljoints.
Just don't forget to grease them! It seems like every so often we get someone that installed MOOG balljoints, are complaining about noises, and never even thought to install the provided Zerk fitting to apply grease.
And the MOOG are cheap as dirt on rockauto.com

You can never lose with moog! And they will let you know if you need grease. My car was squeaking something badly a couple of months ago. I added grease to the lbj and the noise went away. I would NEVER use the OEM *******y lbj's.
thanks for your input ! I will get moog's whenever I have to replace them next time.
I ordered moog a few weeks ago and it had a rip in one of the boots. I'm assuming from the cotter pin during shipping. I just went ahead and ordered an OEM. I didn't like the idea of having to grease the moog's myself.
You don't have to grease them. Any tire place will add grease to it. I will grease mine every tire rotation (5k)
