Default Ball Joints

So after reading all the threads on ball joint problems, Im planning on replacing mine soon. Is there any specific reason, other than they're not OEM, that more GS owners dont use MOOG BJs instead of the OEM that evidently have lubrication issues? Just curious, because i was thinking of using the MOOGs, not out of cost, just simply maybe to alleviate the problem of them failing..

A lot of members here do use Moogs I believe. I have them on my car, plus they/re a lot thicker than OEM ball joints.

Thicker how? The shaft part that goes into the control arm can't really be thicker or it wouldn't fit.

I gotcha. By thicker do you mean like a "thicker" metal or the part is actually bigger?

the part is quite bigger, (beefier). moog balljoints are slightly bigger but it still fits.
