18's will generally have 1/2 inch more side wall then 19's so they are theoretically more comfortable. That said I am on lowered on 19's and have no complaints. In most situations it is a stock ride.

Almost forgot..... Welcome to Cub Lexus

18" and 19" tires sizes will not be the same. The tread width can stay the same but the sidewall will get smaller as the wheel diameter gets larger.

I am running 245/35/R19 front and 275/30/R19 rear. Check out the Wheel Fitment Guide 2GS/IS-01-05/SC430 thread for more info on tire and wheel sizes. You can also utilize the forum search. Lots of good info and inspiration here on CL.

18s will ride more like stock. 19s will look better. Tire quality will help/hurt in either size. That said, I'm running 245/40/18 up front, and 275/35/18 in back. I'm also lowered on L-tuned springs & struts. I run ultra high performance all season tires (Pirelli P Zero Nero All Season, Conti DWS, Nitto Motivo). The car rides awesome!!

But, I will admit when I see GSs on 19s, I'm thinking they look better, and sometimes wish I had gone with 19s. Although everytime I hit a nasty pot hole, I think to myself "If had 19s I'd have just bent a rim". I've been running my staggered 18s for 8 years now, and not once had to repair one.

Long story short, I think 18s are more practical, but 19s look significantly better, but not better enough to move me out of my 18s. My GS is my daily driver.

BTW, Welcome to CL!!

17s I already have on....but to me, does not look good. In my opinion, rides fine. I'm going with 19s but not ready sure about the specs.
