My AC stopped working and the AC light just flashed, I pulled codes and it gives me 21 (solar sensor) but I can't seem to find 24. Or maybe just a recharge? It just happens so I haven't checked pressure on the AC system thanks for any info

Did you get code 21 while you were parked in the garage, or outside?
You need to get an AC manifold and read pressure from both sides to see what's going on. Does the compressor kick in at all when you hit the AC button?
It was getting late but I no longer get either just "00" but I took it in to a shop and it looks like it compressor seized I got a quote for $1200 fix fml lol
Code 21 pops up because there is no light hitting the solar sensor. If the code went away, it's most likely because you're not longer working in the dark.
Can you verify that the compressor is seized? Did the shop hook up the AC manifold gauge? $1200 is a joke. A brand new compressor is about $500. Labor is definitely not $700.
Hey didn't how up anything he looked at it it started to smoke when u kick it on and then said "yup seized" then said 1200 is compressor, valve?, drier, recharge and labor. Does this sound right? Don't know anything about ac so thanks for the input
Yea, your compressor is probably toast. Better off finding a used compressor and have another shop install it. Or there is a brand new Denso unit on ebay for $330 shipped. A new drier shouldn't run more than $20. About the only thing that may make the install more costly is if you need to replace the expansion valve due to labor (part is cheap). It's generally recommended to change it whenever the compressor fails.
