no stretch at all? stock wheels are 17x8 with 235/45/17, why would you go with an even narrower tire than stock

I think he is going with a narrow tire so that he can "stretch" the tire so the sidewall of the tire doesnt meet the edge of the rim.

i was thinking about making the rims as flush as possible to the wheel well but in order to do this i have to go with a stretched tire... but the more research i do makes me wanna just buy another set of 20's..... between the price of tires and spacers i could prob throw another couple dollars on and grab another set of 20's and just use the toyos i already have..... my mind changes every 5 min's....

215/35 on 8" not much stretch

if you want stretch on a 8" wheel you need at least 195/50 tires.

but please leave stretching tires on 8" wheels to hondas and miatas, just get wider wheels that are at least 9" with proper low offset.

18s are already small for our 2GS.. n having it a 8" width wheel is even smaller.

i agree with above.. 9 min for front and 10.5 min for rear...

18"s are small if you don't plan on slamming your car unless they at least have super aggressive fitment that fills up the wheel wells.

car is already slammed.... offset on the stock 18"s is very conservative.... thats why spacer would be needed...

well it depends what your plan is honestly, do you plan on running these stocks for a while? or at least for a few winters? then getting spacers to make them fit decent is worth while.

cuz if you just plan to run stocks + spacers until you get decent wheels, then stop using them then I think its a waste of money to get spacers cuz decent F+R spacers aren't cheap.
