Default 2jz into 02 GS430

Can someone shine some light of what i need to complete the swap? I think i need a gs300 mounts and different type of ecu. Will I need a different tranny? If possible to use the auto tranny on the 2jz?

You'll need supra mounts if the swap doesnt come with mounts.

So everything that goes with the 2jz, including mounts, wire, ecu and tranny to fit in the 430 pretty much?

im in the midst of doing a 2JZ GTE (non VVTI out of a Supra) in my GS400. We had to use SC300 mounts with adapter plates to get the motor to sit right. We tried a variety of mounts before coming up with this set up. You will have sme hurldes with wiring for sure. My circumstance is a bit different as Im running the V160 6 speed, so I dont have the tranny to deal with. I also was running a full stand alone prior, so Iwould be wiring reardless. Its not going to be plug and play on a GS4 for sure, but it is achievable.

Well i used a 2jzgte vvti swap and the supra mounts worked for me, as for wiring i have a 98 gs400 and the wiring on my car will be easier than yours. It can be done but since you have a newer model gs a few things will take a little more time to figure out wiring wise.

Yea, I don't understand this swap at all. I mean, you can do what you like, but why remove a potent and proven V8, for a six? Even though it can be turbo'd, still, just buy a 300 and go off of that.

200k - 300k is fine on the V8 motor... they are very stout and reliable as long as u keep up the maintenance... if you can get a 2JZ cheap, i would look to put it in another car (i.e... SC3 or another GS3)

Yea I get it. But you can buy a 98 300 for dirt cheap these days. Even if it was well maintained, they still go for $3-4k. Or do what Kam had suggested which is swap it in a SC
