Mobile Auto Paint...Highly Recommend
Every 2 years or so, I do a GS refresh. This is when I would go around and fix and repair minute damages to the GS. Door dings, touch up paint and minor body work. Well, I got tired of shelling out $600-$1000 to have the bumper repainted or the rocker panels or the hood. In this case the side skirts needed help because the paint was flaking off. Of course several body shops with qoutes from $500 to $800 and wanted to holdon to the car for up to 2 weeks. So I decided to try a local mobile paint company I found on craigslist. The guy came out and looked at the damage and quoted me $250. Then he showed me where the body shop that installed my L-Tuned sides didn’t even put primer on them. That’s why the paint was peeling and cracking. $600 bucks that cost me. 4 hours of air blasting, sanding, priming. Then paint blending and final coat, then he wet sand, heat dry and cure, then clear coat. And Wow! I was impressed and pleased at the outcome.

Another $200 to dent masters to get 14 door dings out and $90 for full wash, polish and wax and she is ready for the summer.

Sounds like money well spent. My only problem is that there's only 18 inch paper on the car and the vehicle is outside and overspray tends to travel. So just make sure there's no overspray on the rest of panels or your windows and mouldings. Seems like he did a good job on the skirts though.
Yea had it detailed afterwards with clay bar. Surprisingly, very little. And used a funky look air brush like what those artist used. It was very cool watching him work.

These guys are everywhere. Whatever town you live in, just go to the area with the most car dealers (franchise). Most towns have an area where all the dealerships are... Most of these mobile guys make their money through volume work reconditioning pre-owned and off-lease vehicles before they are put back on the showroom floor. Its no accident why the pre-owned vehicles at franchise dealerships look so good... these guys are part of the reconditioning process. Just make a few calls to the used car sales managers or service managers at various dealerships and they will undoubtedly have the contact information for a few of these guys.
