Hi, I just joined this forum in hopes of learning a bit about the Gs300 and Gs400. I am leaning towards a 98-2000 Gs3 but havent decided yet. I was wondering how reliable these cars are and whats the highest mileage that has been seen on original motor and trans? Also I noticed that the gas mileage is alright for the size of the car but not enough power I think. Is there any mods that increase power and increase gas mileage reliably? Thanks for the help.

theres a lot of people here that have 250k+ on their cars and its still running strong!

the gs300 engine is a 2jz (thing is bullet proof), and the only real problems that youll hear peopel talk about is the suspension (ball joints, etc.).

the gs300 defintely does not have enough power or should have more, but Im fine with it as a daily driver.

welcome to the forums! hope you pick up one soon!

I agree with the above post, I just bought my first gs300 less than a week ago I owned an 96 es300 and that felt like it had more power but obviously it was because of the weight. The gs300 is certainly a cruiser despite it having a sporty feel to it, but i love it. When I drive it it just melts away any previously held frustrations

Thanks for the insight guys , I really do appreciate it. Yea I notice a lot of these cars have high mileage and a lot have salvaged titles. I'm looking at clean titles and they are still pricey for a 10-14 year old car. Also is it that hard to find a black on black?
