Realized my jdm car has a different sound system a while ago so this won't work.
Hello I'm trying to do this mod but my wires connecting to the cd changer are completely different colors. Does anyone have an idea which wires to use? My car is the jdm version toyota aristo.
Don't worry the wires won't be exposed like that.
Blue
Orange
Grey
Pink
Purple

Thanks to Sheehan for this thread and to Runyun (post #155) for the wiring clarification. I tried this on my 2005 ls430 and it works great. I installed the audio jack inside the center console and burned my own silent cd with Audacity.
Also, since the CD audio input is still on when other audio functions are selected, sometimes I play my ipod with a blank cassette in the tape deck to save wear on the cd player.
