The link is still in the DIY huge sticky on the top of the page, I linked it in my recent thread, and it comes up when you search. That being said read all the comments in the thread, a lot of people have screwed the pooch and destroyed their tails due to not getting lucky.

Just buy the LED ones you will be happier in the long run, the 98-2000 style with the clear/amber in the middle are wack.

I really like the look of cleared 98-00 tails. But it's really hard to do. I went with 01+ tails instead.

I did them awhile back using the dremel technique. It's messier, but a lot easier. Just use black silicon after your done and it will look good as old.

Same here. The 98-00 tails just seem too outdated. Especially for the design of the car that is still holding up with newer competition after 12+ years....

I agree with everyone... I successfully did this to my 98 tails but now i just want to upgrade. If u do it just take ur time and dont go to hot. Its pretty straight forward if u follow the DIY post. A thin wide flat head will be the best tool.
