I want to do one of the three following options but need advice/reccomendations. I have a Black on Black GS (certain tails look better on certain colors)
1. DIY clear out center area on my '00 tails (Labor and no money needed)
2. Purchase a set of used/new '01+ tails and DIY clear out bottom area (Labor and $200 +/-)
3. Buy the clear/red LED tails from Ebay. (If this option who makes the most quality setup?) (No labor needed and $200 - $250)

Whatcha think???
from my understanding, you can't clear out the 01+ tail lights. only the 98-00's
Oh guys BTW I was looking to get at least around 18WHP with the clear/red tails. I really felt a difference after I added my caliper stickers too. LOL!!!
Bunch of members have done the LED ones. There are like 3 recent threads about it. Mine are coming in the mail. Maybe you should clear your stock tails and if you're not satisfied, get the LED ones.
I just bought my LED's. They're in the mail. Try to white out your and go from there. Another less expensive route...get a candy coat red spray and spray your tails so they're all red except your reverse light. Did it on my last car. you can get paint for under $10 and always ge tthe LEDs if you don't like it
I would go with option #1...Not sure why all the hoopla with the 01+ light. On my car I like the way the 98-00 Custom clear looks on gold exterior...
They make the car seem older. Not too many things changed on the exterior of the GS from 00 to 01. Changing the lights makes it look newer. Just my opinion

Not only do they look newer but they look more refreshed. I think the older lights just had too much going on. I would say get the eBay lights.
