Default Weird Start up question?

So I have a weird problem when I start up my car the RPMs drop real low for a quick second then come right back up to normal. It almost feels like the car wants to turn off. Any ideas on what can cause this?

I got the car about two weeks ago and its been doing it since I bought it. It does it every time I start it. Its less noticeable if its real cold out. Car is completely stock.

I would say first check your battery terminals. The connection could be lose, or you might just need a good cleaning. Have you changed your oil recently?

If that's not the case it could be a bunch of other things like spark plugs or starter, since it is pre-owned like mine. I would start with the battery though. Goodluck

battery will affect everything.... get the battery load tested see if results are good. make sure connections are not loose on the battery post. clean the TB and MAF sensor and we can start from there. It's really hard to diagnose online.

Okay bringing this back since I still have this problem and sometimes I have to give it a little gas or else the car will start up and turn right off. I cleaned the MAF and it seemed that it got worse. It seems like the rpms drop lower when I turn it on. I also got a brand new battery. And it still does it.

Please report back if this helps! I'm also experiencing this problem. Happened to me randomly after pumping gas.
