Stupid ***** $*#*$(#
it is the same phenomenon as i experienced in florida with old people driving the biggest caddilacs they could buy....they figure, along with the husbands who buy their wives/kids a freakin boat of an Excursion, that when the accident does happen (notice the verb) at least they won't be hurt...not caring what they do to the person they hit with their piece of near farm equipment.
it's a selfish world we live in my fellow members.

sorry to hear bout the accident. i was in one of those once in my mothers car, i jumped out going nuts...she sat in her car and called the cops...i bet i looked like a drunk monkey..lol but i would not have drove off...she prob told her husband you were psycho er something...so you should have made it where she would of had a real story to tell.
Manuel, you sure have been having a tough go of it lately! Hopefully things will turn around for you soon.
Some you well wishers make me shake my head in disbelief. Folks, the SUV's are not the problem, the people driving them are the problem. As Sam and some others mentioned, it's a training issue, not a vehicle issue. You all are using the same logic that those wanting gun control use.
I agree that lot's of people out there drive around with there heads up there butt, and certainly don't appear to realize that other people share the road with them. But those type of people are in regular cars also, you just don't notice them as much because the vehicle isn't as big. Think of how many times you've "almost" been rear ended. Probably the only thing that saved you was that the person was lucky enough to be driving an average sized car.
Remember when you went through driving school and they told you that when it rains, you have to increase the distance between you and the car in front of you? Well that lesson needs to be applied to the SUV crowd as well...
a) You drive a big heavy boat, don't drive as fast as you would in a regular car.
b) You drive a big heavy boat, leave extra room between you and the car in front of you.
c) You drive a big heavy boat, when it rains, leave even more room between you... well you get the idea.
To say that SUV's need to be banned is just silly. I guess we should ban all high performance vehicles also, after all, they have the potential to cause harm because they can go so fast...
