Default Cursed! part 2... grumble grumble

so the curse struck again. this time i got sideswiped on the passenger side rear quarter panel. a lady in an explorer was trying to make a left out of an apt complex and i guess she didn't see me cuz of the cars parked on the street. she pulled out as i was passing by and hit me. i caught a glimpse of her as i was passing her and i noticed that she was looking to the right for traffic then pow! i pulled into the center turn lane and by now she had made a left into the turn lane as well. i was afraid she might try to take off so i quickly bust a u-turn and flagged her over to the side. the damage doesn't look TOO bad. luckily she just barely missed the rear door and my tom's rear lip. the bumper and the rear quarter panel will need to be repaired/replaced. the wheel suffered some deep gouges and scratches too. not sure if that can be fixed or if i'll need to get a new rim? ugh... i hate dealing with insurance especially with aftermarket parts. anyways, picture time...

i think the alignment is out cuz the rear of the wheel sticks out more than it used to and is rubbing against the fender. had to throw on the spare to stop the rubbing.

the other vehicle... not much damage to hers. her license plate was ripped off tho...

for those familiar with the area... it's on chapman between beach and dale in the garden grove/stanton area.

Sorry to hear about this Darren! Your car's rear end truly is cursed - almost as much as mine! Hope it gets fixed like new!

i remember visiting ron's boday shop when i got rear ended 1 1/2 years ago. i asked him what they were going to do about my tom's rear lip and the guys pretty much said forget about it and take it off and not put it back on. i was like uhhhh ok not going here. a lot of places are good with putting your car back to oem specs, but i'm looking for a place that is willing to deal with aftermarket parts.

You should've seen the car that hit me on the side. Her bumper had no single scratch but made a $3000 damage on door and quarter panel on my car. Kind of sucks our car is so fragile.
