so nothing was left undone, soooooooo why would it only work for 3 hours and then return to not working? as stated i checked the remote battery at autozone. this is the only thing i can think of? any other opinions?
so the wierdness continues....today i put the remote about 2" from the door and hit lock and it worked for about 3 hours and then nothing again? i checked the remote battery at autozone and it shows it working after it stopped working again today? w.t.f.
ok so i went to lexus today and tried to solve this problem, here is my conclusion. they want $189.00 just to set up an appointment to diagnos my car=to much $$. i know a guy that reprograms keys so i went to him, he puts in another new battery, then reprogramas my car, says the remote accepted my program but something in the car itself is not reading the transmiter? he thinks it is the alarm in the car itself. it seems like the easiest/cheapest reoute is to get an aftermarket alarm? anyone agree i should just get an aftermarket alarm, or have any idea of what is messing up in my car now? thanks
does anyone know how to check the transmiter remote in the rear c-pillar? it is not the battery or remote, i checked all the fuses? wtf can i check actuator motors? all doors lock but maybe not quit enough?
and why did it work last week and a few times the week before? something must be loose?
so after driving my car yesterday, then to and from work today my keyless worked after work 3x? what the hell is going on here? loose wire? if so where so i could do some inspecting
definitely something electronics involving a board.
i'm not familiar with this... but i am just throwing some ideas. is there a computer for the keyless entry? is it the same as the immobilizer ECU that people program onto?
but i agree, an aftermarket alarm may be the workaround for this keyless entry problem.
