it could be both.

the shop i went to removed the tps sensor to check if the break was in the lines so they identified the problem there. i was getting my suspension put in and one of them prob. hit the wire and split it internally. just bring the car in to a trustworthy shop and have the sensor tested first before moving on to just replacing items.

Had the exact same problem. It was the battery and alternator. The battery was a Optima yellow top (crap). The alternator was stock. I can't complain though. The original OEM alternator lasted a decade.

I recommend checking the ABS/speed sensors. When they installed your suspension, they might have pulled the wires too hard and damaged the wires running to the ABS sensors. Most likely you will be able to solder it back.

One of the wires on my front sensor broke right at the head when my ball joint popped out, but I was able to solder it and it worked fine.

Drive it around and light should turn off by itself.

Either you need new abs sensors on each wheel or your tires/wheels are bad or you just need to reset the abs/vsc -- do it under the hood. if you can find the steps then kudos if not just pm me and I can look and see where i have it. You use the diag port under the hood to clear it.

I have been dealing with this same issue. I searched and there are SO many threads it's hard to find the right steps. I downloaded the PDF from one of the threads so I'll just attach it here. One more thread with the PDF in it will make it easier to find. The procedure to read the codes is section 2. Sensor signal check.

The reset procedure is one of the first section that talks about not having the handheld tool

How and why, does it reset itself?

Can autozone reset this?

If the problem is corrected, it should reset itself. You can't just clear it if it's not corrected, cuz it will pop back up again.

My lights are on cause my lower ball joint gave way. Fixed now and sensors seem to be in tact. How long before computer resets?

while you DID fix the broken LBJ you did NOT fix the speed sensor that got ripped when the LBJ broke. you can either repair the sensor yourself with a OHM meter, some solder, and some patience or buy a new one and replace it....but those lights will not go away till THAT issue is addressed.

BTW if u do replace it i wouldnt mind buying the old one for a spare or we
