Default invisicord question

So i got a invisicord and mikes mount for my g35 hooked up to the mirror, I was wondering how to hook it up to my 1999 lexus gs300 mirror. Searched but none for second generation.

I meant my rearview mirror, I want to hook my valentine v1 using the mirror's power source. Sorry for the confusion. Like this;

Open up the dome light assembly and use a test light or multi-meter to find a 12v and ground source to tap.

Sure. But if I remember correctly the mirror and the headliner are very close. Rather then mess with and expose the mirror wiring, run a wire up and under the headliner to the dome/garage opener assembly. There is a lot more room in there and less chance of damage.

I'll look at it again when I am on my way to work.

So having looked at it again I still think you are better off running the wire up and under the headliner rather then opening the covered mirror wiring. The distance difference is a couple inches.

You probably could create an opening in the mirror wiring cover and run your wire through there, or even tap it there. But I have never opened it so I do not know how much room is in there and I don't like working in such small areas.

The previous owner had one hooked up in mine to the map light garage door opener power source. It was very easy to unhook and pull wires through
