whats up cl. Today when i got out of work i jump in my car, everything was normal until i noticed a little "heekups" on low idle. So i popped the hood and nothing was out of place. No check engine light has come up yet thanks god... Yesterday i took the air intake hose of to clean a little spill of oil i had from a bad pcv valve. Can it be water that got into the coils when i rinse the engine off?
Yea spray some degreaser by the valve cover and i had to rinse it out but i didnt throw a lot of water... I just turned on the car for a couple of mins and its not doing it anymore i hope it doesnt come back..
this is another one of those things people either do or dont believe.
i personally do it all the time BUT i dont do it unless i haven't driven the car in at least 4-5 hours. if the motor is cool, its fine...some degreaser, some water and (knock on wood) never had a issue

I do it quite often also. The one problem i had once was it had cheap Autozone wires on it and water would make the plug wires short. I put on OEM, and haven't had a problem since.

Doesnt matter if you drive 50 hours or 5 mins. you DO NOT PUT WATER in the electrical system of any car. Knock on wood is right.

this is retarded..if your gonna expose your engine to water cover all electrical parts including ignition components, Jeez... Another Sad day for CL
I done it several times in different cars and never had any issues until this happened but thanks god the misfire went away but for sure next time i'll take more precaution....
I dont mean to hijack but i watered the **** out of my motor today lol. I watered it so much i think my water bill will be double next month. At least nothing happened.

Lol!!! It rarely happens but i suggest you cover most of the electrical components just to be on the safe side, is not funny when the car is acting up all kinda things go thru your head...
