Default AC control button problems

Ok I did some searching before I posted about this but honestly did not find anything regarding the issue I have. Anyway so I recently bought a 1999 GS300 and ofcourse theres some electrical issues like the infamous door locks and what not.

So anyway im trying to find out if other people on here have the same issue im having with the AC control buttons. My issue is when I turn the ac or heater on I cannot adjust the temp on either side. I can only increase the temp but if I want to lower it to cool nothing happens. Also I can only decrease the amount of air coming out but cannot increase it to max. Sometimes after a while of it being on im able to do adjustments with no problems but most of time I the buttons dont seem work. Im almost positive that this is another commun problem these cars have but im hoping to find a solution to this on here.

Don't know if it's the same problem that i'm having or something that maybe can relate to. Last week I put my AC on full blast for a minute or so and then tried to turn it down and no luck. It's stuck on full blast 24/7 no matter how hot/cold I put the temp. It'll let me turn it lower or higher, but the actual AC does not react. It stays on full blast. Tried turning on/off car and nothing. Reset my ECU and still nothing. My mechanic said it could be the resistor that's failing. Maybe you're having the same problem as me?

I just had a similar problem and it turned out to be the blower motor control module. My blower motor was stuck on full blast for several months and then finally quit all together. The part is a "dealer only" part and can be accessed by removing the glove box, wiring harness, and unsnapping a portion of the air duct.

yea the issues you guys mention are a little different then mine but similar. Its really annoying me know. I was planning on removing the a/c climate control unit and checking the connections or cleaning them to see if that would help.
