Default Borla Exhaust Tips Help

I purchased a set of borla 20155 exhaust tips, when I went to install them they didn't fit. With the bolt all the way down, the tips were still to big. I know I can have it welded on and problem solve, but I prefer not welding them. Is there an adapter that I can buy or any alternative to to mount them? Here a picture of it

I believe our stock exhaust is 2.25 in and those tips you purchased are 2.5 in. That is why the are too big. I say exchange them for a correct size.

If not you can cut a slice out a section of them so that they can be cranked down tighter. Any adapter would add length and add a unwanted clunkiness to the setup. You could also have the stock pipe expanded. All of these options are more work then exchanging them.

It seems like Borla changed the mounting system on them. Found an old picture of the same tips.

People with the same tips, how did you mount them

Mine were not like that... at least the part where you mount it at.

Why don't you want them welded?

Didn't want to weld, just incase i want to change or modify the position later down the line and the ability to remove them makes it 10 times easier to polish. The price to get them welded on is not an issue, plenty of shop would do them cheap around here.

You could always cut some notches in them and throw some hose clamps on them like in the picture you posted above.
