Did someone say L-tuned?
For the record...I'm not saying that I think enginyr's Ltuned calipers stickers look bad, nor am I an authority to say what is "ricey". We all have different taste, hence the different ways we have moded or cars
Personally, would not put any kind of sticker on my calipers unless they came that way...but I have no problem with those that do. Most people would probably think I'm an idiot for wasting time and money getting mine powder coated

IMO, I think painting your Calipers red looks cool. I doubt Steve painted his red so that people would think he had Brembos. I mean c'mon, he has money and all the stuff hes done to his car, he coulda easily just gotten them from the GB.
I just think having them painted red looks nice, not rice IMO. But I respect your opinions and the way you voiced them (hint hint)

While I could agree if it said Lexus originally and some nice artistry was performed to highlight it - then cool. Unfortunately, those in the know - who are the only people worth showing your taste to IMHO, - know the difference.
lets draw some other comparisons...
-- putting a cell phone antennae on your car when you don't have a cell phone (don't know if they even do this anymore)
-- changing your badging -- ie gs3 to gs4
-- buying a $15 Rolex
-- buying your wife a cubic zirconia - gasp.. ;0
People who do it range from all out posers to those missing the point.
Kind of reminds me of that expedia.com commercial with the sales guy on the plane saying "drinks" and "who's naughty on this plane".
