Okay, in the "Why didn't you just get the 430 in the first place?" department, I have a question for GS drivers -
Anybody know if you can put a 2001 GS-430 steering wheel with the nifty stereo controls into a GS-300 which has those useless downshift/upshift buttons? Is the wiring buried inside the steering column or dashboard, so that if I somehow came upon a 430 wheel, I could just swap them out?
Be gentle with your answers.

Chicane27,
I believe you can probably swap 2001 GS-430 steering wheel with the nifty stereo controls into a GS-300 w/ E-shift. Go get the 2001 GS Electrical Wiring Diagram manual from the Toyota Motor Corp. Distribution Center and have a trained professional do the install. The wiring harness might have to be custom made unless the dealers offer such parts.
