Default Replaced Starter now Cam Seal Leaking

Just had Starter replaced in my GS400 now oil is leaking from Cam Shaft Seal, does this make any sense to anyone? Or is it just coincidence.

Thanks.

it's very rare that the cam seal leaks on the v8s. the cam seal is internal and should not really leak. double check where it's coming from, it might be just from the valve cover.

^ What he said... if you are in fact replacing it you gotta pop the valve cover off i believe.

its a PITA.
i am doing it as we speak right now and i am having huge issues.

btw just a heads up.
the camshaft has to come out of the bank in order for the cam seal to be replaced.

Yeah, my local mechanic is telling me its a bigger job than he thought, he said the dealer doesn't even like doing it. He's charging me $400, but I know he's regrets quoting that low.
