i have new wheels for my gs300 and what size tire is the best to use i have 245/40R20 but there to big

Well what is the width and offset of the rear wheels? This will help determine advice on what rear tires you should get. Generally speaking though (and judging by the photos and fitment of the rear and the fact it doesn't look too aggressive at all), a standard rear wheel tire would be 275/30/20, assuming that is 20x9.5 or 20x10.

Yeah 40 is too big. Front should be 245/35/20 or 245/30/20. And on a 9.5-10" wide wheel out back should be 275/30/20.
I was running 275/35/20 with a 2" drop.....I had to cut the hell out of the fenders!!

Wow, that is about 2" bigger than OEM specs. No wonder you had to make modifications.

if its 8.5" use 245/30R20 if its 10" 275/30R20

There 8.5 by 20 and I think I'm going to use 245/35r20 .Houston roads are to bad to be using 245/30r20

Exactly! But I picked them up for $100 (pair) Brand New so to me it was worth spending some time cutting up some metal lol!!!!
Next go around will be 30 series though...

If you car is lowered you may be rubbing in the front because the OD is almost 1" bigger than factory
