Where to buy black onyx paint in can (not aerosol)
Hey guys, does anyone know where i could buy black onyx paint or universal black to match the black onyx lexus? I dont mean spray paint or touch up paint in a nail polish jar. I want to buy and actuall quart of paint. Thanks
black onyx..i would think your local auto paint shop would, but im sure you would need to provide them with the paint code. otherwise...check your lexus dealer...pricey!
Go to local auto paint shop and have them mix you a 202.

I didnt see any metallic when I still had it. Doesnt matter though, thats too insignificant of a question. Just ask for 202 and you'll get what you need
autozone sold some duplicolor toyota paint and it matches seriously pretty damn good cuz no metallic its str8 blk so itskinda like onyx
I used to believe that all blacks were the same.... then when I got my car back from the paint shop a few years back, found that they spot painted the car and found 3 different blacks on it!
but hes looking for a quart, so I would assume he wants to do more than just a spot or two good to know though about what autozone's got
if you have a auto body shop near your house that you have a good relationship with... they can usually sell you the paint... the shop where I have my major body work done usually hooks me up...
I tried using paintscratch before. Their paint was slightly lighter than the original black, but luckily I only had to repaint one part of the bumper so it wasn't a big deal. It was obvious on my roof spoiler though. After a few months, I went out to Autozone to pick up the Duplicolor 202 spray can and it matched my paint practically 97%, only because my original paint is 10+ years old. I'll probably just buy another can when it comes time to paint my side mirrors.
Duplicolor from my past experience is GOOD rattle can paint. As long as you prep the surface really well and spray well itll come out good... Also wetsand/polish is a must after clearcoat.
