this happened this past holiday weekend... my wife and i were on Rt 80 coming back into NJ from PA... this idiot with NY plates in a SUV to the right of me notices that traffic in his lane is starting to slow down... so im doing about 65mph in the middle lane, him right next to me... he speeds up and cuts in front of me... i was on my horn and the brake almost to the point of locking my tires up... i look over to the left lane and it is empty so i pull the car halfway into the left lane to give him room... his back door was literally at my front passenger window when he began to execute his lane change, with my wife sitting right there seeing the car coming at her!!! i was so pissed, but at that speeds, i was afraid he would have clipped me and sent me in a spin if i didn't just avoid the accident... there was heavy highway traffic behind me that probably would have also plowed into me...

after i got back into the lane behind him, he sped up and started weaving in and out of traffic... i just shook my head... karma will come to get him...

Undocumented alien? Did she have insurance? You can still file a claim even though the cop didn't write a ticket. Her actions caused you damage.

it happens all the time.
I will only move away if it is "safe" for myself. Most of the time when you try to move away, you end up hitting something, or someone on other lanes, and guess what, it's your fault ((
too bad.

If I know someone going to hit me (knowing it's not going to be a BIG accident), I will let them hit me instead of having me hitting someone else.

Yeah he probably could have given her a ticket for improper lane change but since I'm 17 I don't count as a credible witness. Neither does my friend that was with me.

She had insurance and a license so she was legal. And I asked the cop if I could get any money because her actions caused it he said no cuz her insurance would say because we didn't hit each other I could be lying and trying to commit insurance fraud. Because all 17 year olds do that...

If the cop said that to me, I'd ask him where he studied law and if he was actively practicing.
I'd turn it in to her ins and simultaneously file a small claims court action. I'd tell the ins co the case number.

Not a bad idea if you tear off your body kit -- just pull over and call the cops one day. Tell 'em you had to swerve for sumpin'. BAM -- new body kit and paint job. Haha!

(there's sarcasm in there for those that didn't get it...)
