Default Alpine IVA-310?

Did a search and found nothing on it. Anyone got this in their GS? if so do you have pictures of it?

Also does anyone have any opinions on it?looks straight to me, but looking for more opinions.

Here's a link to picture;

Tons of reviews out there (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500IVAD...tab=review#tab) but considering you could buy a DD for the same money, why this unit?

Excuse my noobness... DD?

But when I meant reviews I meant them from people who actually own it and use it in their 2GS. Only things I can find on it are people selling or wtb in the Audio section.

But the only reason i'm looking at this is because I have a guy interested in buying two subs from me and I told him that i'll trade him them if he can get me a Pioneer Avic D3 (that's the one I really want to replace my stock in-dash in my 98 GS) and he called me back saying he had this instead that he'll trade me for it and hook me up w/ a AMP and a 10'' to replace the stock sub to go along with it. I'm eh about this 'cause it has the flip face and i'm not to fond of it, but I was thinkin' if it'll work then i'll just get it and live with it and try to find someone to buy it or trade it for a bill or so + the Pioneer that I want.

ive had a pioneer avic n3 flip out. my advice would be to stick with a double din radio. its less moving parts, and looks more stock. i currently have a kenwood double din with built in garmin nav. looks great. ill try to upload a pic in a few.

I would go with a double DIN. I myself have an Alpine W505 in my GS now. That said, the D310 is an excellent flip out monitor deck. I had one before and it was great.

Thanks for all the info and the help with the booby questions guys. Much appreciated!

And yes DD ftw! It does look more stock and that's what I love about it. Right now I'm out of town so let's hope by the time I get back in this weekend he can find me a Pioneer DD that I can use, but if not ill just go with the idea of using the Alpine until I find someone to trade/sell it too and get myself the Pioneer.

Thanks again guys!

Oh one more question.. In buying a DD I'm going to have to purchase the face kit from somewhere also, right? I mean the in-dash face to fit around the screen..

I have the Alpine IVA-D300 (Flagship model at that time in 2005) but i don't think the D310 is that great, not sure about their nomenclature (Higher number supposed to be better) but not in this case, it seems its the strip down model of the D300, so IMO i would pass on that unit..
