Good deal or not?
Yep, you will find one. That brings up a good point....how would anyone know buying a used GS400 certified from a dealer if the car has been in an accident?
Hell, I bought my GS last week and it's a 99. It looks brand new and seems fine, but do I really know for sure if the person that owned it before me didn't get in a wreck?
Does the dealer have to disclose this if it is certified?

on lexus vehicles, it is much easier to detect..on each of the major body panel, there is serial # stickers from the factory...if anyone of those is missing, 95% of the time that "piece" has been replaced..one time this "broker" tried to sell my buddy a gs400 with 25k miles and told us the car has NEVER been in accdient with ORIGINAL body and paint. when i got there, 2 of the stickers are missing...so we said, "see ya"
there are also other things you can do to verify:
car fax and take it to a GOOD body shop..all these are preventive measures but in this day and age, anything helps.. different dealers also have various degree of tolerance of the CPOs..from lexus, if the scratch is minor and the repair was done with excellence, the car can still be cpo...but often with body panel replacement, a good dealer would not put it on the lot as cpo...
just something i learned after owning few lexuses and working at a lex dealer
