Default New wheels.

Some of you may not have seen my rims that came with the car, so here's a shot.

Those were killing me and killing the car obviously.. (They're 22's)

So I went through my Uncle and got one of these guys he's been dealing with for years and he traded me some stock alloy's from the LS series I believe?

Here they are.

u traded straight up? u lost $ if you did, you coulda easily sold those for bout 500-1000 and the ls wheels are EASILY picked up for like 200-400

Yeah I went straight up, because at the moment I have no $$$ at all and I needed new tires/rims asap. The guy that got those rims said he bought them for $500. I'm not trippin' because he took off the lift kit around the whole car and that gave him hell and he balanced them and everything, so my wheels are good. I'm not gonna complain at all. I'd rather get the straight up trade now than have to wait 2 more weeks to a month to get a set of tires/rims to put on and then go out and sell those. I hated the ride on the 22's and then having them not balanced and not even offset right sucked. The wheels stuck out from the car and all, so i'm happy that I got that done. Now it's basically start saving up for some Eurolines and i'll be chillin'.

Here's a better picture of the whole car w/ the LS wheels on it.

yeah, you could have made some $$$ on those rims, if you could find a buyer, right now that is proving tough, and in the meantime you would have had to wait and drive around with all those things you talked about...

you did the right thing... good move.

Yeah it was awkward with those 22's. Like when I was driving it seems as if the wheels would lock sometimes? And then they would swerve the car and they'd be back to normal. I'm not to sure if it's cause they weren't balanced or what, but I didn't like it and I didn't want to be stuck driving like that for a while, so I took a blow to the pocket for a couple hundred prolly, you're right, but IMO it's better to have done that than something serious have happened and it costing me a lot more $$$. Just my 2 cents though.

Now, I must say I've seen my fair share of ridiculous rims, small and large.

...But those 22's are the most god-awful wheels I've ever seen. I just don't see how people can like something like that. Where's the soul? Better yet, where's the style?

good decision to get rid of those god-awful rims and well at least you thought about your handling instead of looks for now, thumb up on that.

tneig002: Exactly what I said. These cars aren't built for those 22's and crap. I can't believe the previous owner actually decided to even put those things on. I'm just glad they're off though.

TxLexus400: Yeah I had a guy down the street tell me he would take those 22's off my hand + $650 and he'll give me a whole set of 18's + wheels + balancing and all. I was just gonna do that, but I just couldn't take the ride and those wheels for that long, so I just evenly traded them for some stock ones. Much happier now.

If I were in your situation, I would have done the same. I don't know if I could have rode around for more than an hour after purchasing the car with those god awful 22's mounted on.

It was hard keeping my breakfast tacos down after seeing the first pic.

Good move on the LS wheels.

Good move indeed.

But I think the 22s would suite a big SUV or so.
