Default Replace stock sub

I've searched and found a few good threads but they were all out dated. Well, I am planning to take out my 2 '12 subs and put in a '10 sub in the stock location. Got tired of all the rattle. Any reconmendations as far as subs? I want something that sounds great with bass.

See if you can find a TRUE Infinite baffle subwoofer. Also can use a Marine Subwoofer. I would recommend JL Audio.

I have an older Infinity Kappa Perfect 10" in the stock location hooked up to an old MTX 250W amp, and I swear the things turned up 1/8 of the way, and its still enough to rattle the rear end and give me a headache in about half a song. For the life of me I can't imagine why anyone would want more than one 10" sub.

If its mounted in the OEM location, you're obviously not interested in showing it off -- just get a good brand sub on Craigslist and stick 'er in there.

I just put in a Kicker c10 and run it off of my ML amp, not enough power from the amp but at least it doesn't rattle like a blown sub anymore

Ok I am debating between the Kicker c10 or the Pioneer '10 shallow mount.

Kicker c10-
* World's best subwoofer value, still under $100
* Best-sounding, loudest bass for the buck
* 4- OHM single voice coil
* Super-rigid, injection-molded cone with 360-degree back bracing
* High-temp coil wire
* Vented pole piece for heat dissipation
* Strong steel basket with coil-cooling perimeter venting
* Ribbed surround for strength at high excursion
* Durable Spiralead tinsel leads
* Tough, yellow double-stitching on surround
* Handy spring-loaded terminals
* Size (IN.,CM): 10, 25.0
* Impedance (OHMS): 4 or 8
* Max Rec Amplifier Power (WATTS PEAK/RMS): 300/150
* Sensitivity (dB 1w/1m): 86.2
* Frequency Response (Hz): 30-500
* Mounting Depth (IN.,CM): 5-1/16, 12.8
* Mounting Cutout (IN.,CM): 9-1/8, 23.1
* Min Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters): 1.0, 28.3
* Max Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters): 2.4, 68
* Min Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters): 1.25, 35.4
* Max Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters): 1.75, 49.6

Pioneer '10 Shallow mount-
* Size: 10 in (25 cm) Cone
* Woofer Cone Material: Composite IMPP using Interlaced Carbon Fiber and Glass Fiber
* Surround: Dual 3-Layer Fiber-Woven Radial Surround
* Voice Coil<: Copper Round
* Voice Coil Wire: 4-Layer
* Voice Coil Bobbin: FQG
* Damper (Spider): N/A
* Damper Ring: Heat Resistant ABS
* Projected Pole Yoke with Vented Pole: Yes
* Magnet Construction: Strontium
* Gasket: 1-Piece, ABS
* Watts MAX. Music Power: 800 Watts
* Watts Nominal Power Handling: 200 Watts
* Frequency Response: 20 Hz ~ 144 Hz
* Sensitivity: 89 dB
* Ohm Rating: 4
* Dimensions: 10-9/10 in x 3-6-10 in (278mm x 92mm)
* Mounting Depth: 3-1/10 in (78mm)

Which one you guys think performs better in the stock location?

Same here I have 2 12" L5 Kicker Solo baric Comp and they beat like no other but I'm getting tired of having no trunk space and it being so heavy.

Ok guys so here's an update. I got the 10" polk audio db1040 sub. Sounds great and more than enough bass.
