Default Hmmmmm

Unless you have been in an accident of some sort, the wheel bearings on these cars do not go bad. NEVER. They are monsters. and built very well. It does take a few specialized tools, time, and experience to change the front wheel bearings on a GS,SC,IS. Best of luck to you.
As far as performane bearings. None exist because none is required. The bearings on your Lexus is larger than those on a Porsche turbo,BMW M5, and a host of other cars. It is the bearing of bearings.

My friend has his left front wheel bearing replaced. Believe or not, bearings do go bad no matter how good they are made.

Default Agree - bearings go bad

Got a 99' GS400 with only 45000 miles on it and my rear pass-side bearing is shot - is $500 (non-Dealer) cost remotely reasonable? To me, it seems RIDICULOUS!
